CALL FOR ENTRIES
What: 73rd Annual MATA Membership Exhibition 2014
Deadline: April 6, 2014
Who: MATA members may enter up to three original works in any media. This is a juried show. Each member will have at least one work chosen, with the possibility of an additional two pieces being juried into the show.
Only original works of art by current MATA members are eligible for inclusion in the exhibition. Reproductions of original works will not be accepted.
When: The deadline to enter is April 6.
The exhibition runs from May 4 – June 6
Installation: Drop off work Saturday, May 3 between 8:00-9:30am
Strike: Pick up work on Saturday, June 7 between 8:00-9:30am
Where: Zimmerman Architectural Studios
2122 W. Mt. Vernon Ave., Milwaukee
(NW of Potawatomi Casino, off of N.25th St. between W. Canal St. and W. St. Paul Av.)
How: Mail the Entry/Waiver Form*, $30 entry fee, and a self-addressed-stamped envelope (for notification of accepted work) to:

MATA ENTRY FORM
Anyone who is interested in creating art, teaching art, and/or advocating for art in our schools is welcome and encouraged to join us. In particular, we are interested in continuing and growing our own personal art practice, as well as staying educated and informed about developments in the Art and Art Education community, both locally and on a broader scale. - TO PROMOTE professional growth among the members through the fostering of social fellowship based on common backgrounds, problems and interests.
- TO ENCOURAGE Creative growth among the members through the sponsorship of annual art teachers’ exhibits, workshops, tours and other related activities.
- TO PURSUE a course of action that will keep art education before the public as a positive force.
- TO FORM a strong and solid group that will be able to express the opinions of the Milwaukee area art educators on issues affecting art and art education in our community.
