PRESIDENT'S GREETING FOR JANUARY 2012

Happy New Year greetings from your Prez! I hope everyone's enjoying the unseasonable weather we've had so far, and that many of you can participate somehow in our Drawing/Print/Photography show this month.

To those who have entered work: Don't forget to drop it off by 9am at Carroll U. on Sat. Jan. 14., and I'm looking forward to seeing what we've all been up to artistically. To those who didn't enter work: Please plan to come out for the D/P/P Reception on Jan. 21 (not the 28th as originally advertised!) to recognize and celebrate the work our fellow members have created. The reception will be from 4-6, with awards announced at 5:30. Afterward, plan to stay for a Chili Supper and an open (and free!!!) Life Drawing session upstairs until 9pm. BYO drawing supplies, but we'll have some extra, too, for members and friends who don't have any but want to stay. And who knows....maybe some of us will even hit a local establishment (there are several cozy bars and coffeehouses in Waukesha) for a nightcap when we're through?

Should be a great afternoon/evening...see you then!
